Susan Delegal practices in the area of local government, land use, telecommunications, and real estate law. Ms. Delegal is recognized by The Florida Bar as a Board Certified City, County, and Local Government Lawyer. She represents clients before agencies of local and state government, administrative agencies, and the federal and state courts. Such representation involves obtaining approvals for major residential, commercial and redevelopment projects including zoning, comprehensive plan amendments, and developments of regional impact, concurrency issues, historic preservation, conditional uses, and variances. The local government practice of Ms. Delegal and the firm includes representation of community development districts and community redevelopment agencies. Ms. Delegal also represents various local governments as special counsel on transactional and litigation matters including the Clerk of Courts for Broward County, Florida.

Prior to entering the private practice of law in 1989 with the law firm of Holland & Knight LLP, she was the County Attorney for Broward County, Florida, supervising a staff of over fifty employees and providing the legal representation for the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, and all its departments, boards, and agencies.

Ms. Delegal is a member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, City, County and Local Government Law Section, Executive Council (Past Chair), and the Broward County Bar Association. She is also Past President of the Florida Association of County Attorneys. Ms. Delegal is recognized in Chambers USA as one of America's Leading Business Lawyers in the area of real estate law and has received the highest rating assigned by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

In the community, Ms. Delegal is a member of the Nova Southeastern University, Board of Advisors to the College of Arts and Sciences. Ms. Delegal earned her B.A., with honors, in sociology in 1971 as well as her J.D. in 1973 from the University of Florida.
