Shawn McKamey joined the firm as a law clerk in 1991 and as an associate two years later. The majority of his caseload involves Worker's Compensation cases. In such cases, Mr. McKamey represents either the self-insured employer and servicing agent, or the employer and insurance carrier before a judge of compensation claims in a final merits hearing. In the rapidly changing arena of Worker's Compensation, Mr. McKamey's special expertise is important in keeping his clients apprised of new legal developments.
Mr. McKamey, who is fluent in Spanish, represents local businesses in commercial litigation involving a variety of matters and has experience in admiralty and maritime litigation, products liability, medical malpractice, trucking and automobile negligence and liquor liability cases. He has represented several hotels throughout South Florida in premises liability litigation.
